I think looking at the papers does show professionality, she's supposed 2 react to what's behind her! The newsreaders do look at the screen when they're presenting! what difference does looking at the papers make at the end then?

Katie is one of ITV News's best presenters, at least you can understand what she's saying most of the time, unlike some people, whose names i don't wish to comment upon. She may not have the authority of some of the presenters, like Mary Nightingale, but she is still very good!

I would rate Katie as one of the few really good ITV news presenters - I prefer her to Mary Nightingale, Mark Austin and Sir Trevor to be honest. I think she's authoritative but friendly, presenting the news with personality. Nicholas Owen is the only other ITV presenter I rate similarly.

Neil Connery being interviewed on CNN and it's Correspondents programme. Being referred to by Fionulla Sweeney as ITN's Africa Correspondent. Nice to hear the ITN name in use! Good to see Penny Marshall and Neil in The Sudan and Chad sending top class reports.

I forgot to post this the other day. I was flicking through the news channels when on Euronews there was a report about ITV National Weather with Chrissie Reidy. I have no idea what the report was about, but there were some good behind the scene shots of the new weather studio at ITN. It looked very small, and the weather seems to be presented on a raised stage sort of thing. As well as being able to see her map on the autocue, for some reason there was a plasma attached to the wall behind the cameras.

Does anyone else know this fact: EuroNews is partly owned by ITN so that is probably why Chrissie Reidy was on.
And,

Arrow I wonder what part of ITN Headquarters the ITN World News is based. The ITN World News is shown in America on the NBC network - so, that's why they show NBC news reports - and is presented by Tristana Moore [the former ITN News Channel and former Channel 4 News lady]. It used to be on NBC here until it was took over by CNBC, I recall.
Arrow I remember something on this forum stating "Katy Haswell was on the ITV NC yesterday" post-relaunch. Was that true or not?

I have a funny feeling that is still shown on PBS in the USA. The bulletin isn't as popular as it used to be in the late 1980's and the early 1980's, but I think it is still going.
