Not that interesting, just there are a lot of "www." referals that need to be updated!

It's not a massive problem anyway - yes, they want to rebrand bbc.co.uk, but all the "www." urls work anyway.

On their front page at the mo!

You should check out the BBC Radio 1 website (oh, sorry, Radio 1 "Online"). There's countless 'alt' mistakes right across the site. There's a fair few wrong links as well, with pages for certain DJs linking to others. You wouldn't think it would be that hard for them to change their links when they change the site's content. They are paid to do it, after all.

I've emailed the Web Team details of some errors a few times. They were fixed soon after, but they never had the courtisy to reply. Oh well.

Why do they not like the www on the URL?

I see the BBC Jobs webpage is to soon get a whole new revamp too:

Quote:
The BBC Jobs world wide web site will be offline from midnight Friday June 4 until the morning of Monday June 7 whilst we upload a completely new BBC Jobs web site

Should be interesting although I can't see anything drastically wrong with the current look.

It's one of the few BBCi subsites (apart from Help, Terms, Privacy Policy and a few obsolete ones) still less than 600px wide. It would have undoubtedly been revamped at some point.

I'd imagine the changes to the Jobs site would be more than purely cosmetic. They could be using a new database or updating method for instance.

Update on the BBC Jobs front. The page has now changed to a temporary holding page ready for the relaunch on Monday:

BBC Northern Ireland's homepage has been revamped. Much better than the previous effort. http://www.bbc.co.uk/northernireland/ .

On a side note, have BBC sport got a new license for sports highlights on the internet? I've just started to notice they've managed to add more video footage of football matches and they're streaming the Stella Artois tennis this afternoon....
