I like it, not much of a change but it does make more sense.

I think the white at the top is OK, makes it 'clean' and the logo stands out. Think I'll get bored with the aqua though, I think they should have different coloured logos and change the front page colour regularly.

If they do stick with aqua, I question the continued grey bar at the top - surely a dark blue colour would be better?

I presume the bloke in the white suit will disappear once the relaunch campaign is over. Hope so - I can see him getting irritating!

Is that it ? What have they changed exactly?

Well we weren't expecting a big change.

Still think News and Sport should be added to the grey shortcut bar.

I can see what you mean, having see n it for the first time this evening (not seen much TV lately) - still, it's worth it for allowing FAB FIONA to have her own news set - albeit a less-wonderfl-than-it-should-be one.

I think I preferred before. The powder blue was much nicer than what we've got now. The chunkyness of the layout reminds me of ITV.com, and the white space at the top is a waste. I'm sure someone could have come up with a better design.

It's certainly come a long way since the days of B B C

Good grief!

I love the list on the 'News' page:

Quote:
Take a look at:
Election 97

Alternatively, have a look at:
On the Record

Newsround Election

Reporting Scotland

South Today

Daily Newspapers

That's it! (and why Reporting Scotland and South Today??)

A year later it's looking much more like the 'BBC Online' we know and errrr love.

It's a step back rather than a step forward. Not good.

The Election 97 site is still online, a good 7 years later. Oh, and the Vote 2004 site has made its debut, with a sneaky peek at what the graphics are likely to look like.

Can't really add much more to benjy's comments above as I agree with all he's said. Seems like a tweak for the sake of it - the old blue (and indeed rotating colours) was much better. Shame about the whitespace too. Glad the main heading photo/faded photo style has been kept though.
