Can anyone tell me what has become of some of the former ITV announcers from around the network. Such as Paul Veysey Andy Marriott, Ted May, Fiona Goldman Maggie Mash, Mark Lipscombe, Amanda Youngs Confused:

I heard Trish Bertrum on Five tonight.

Did I hear Ted May on Channel five recently also. ?

Ted May has been doing some announcements for Five for some time now, as has Trish.

Would I have heard Mark Lipscombe's voice announcing Into Central News last week ?

I don't know any of the names but I sure recognised the voice of a five announcer from Central from a while back (gawd I grew up with that voice - it sounds as so sort of homely and cosey and soo familiar)...

Is Ted May this guy?

Trish is freelance, and has done work on ITV1 recently. Maggie Mash did a voiceover on What The Papers say a couple of weeks ago.

Glen Thompsett has been on Screenshop, but that was last year.

Now we have that horrid woman who's sounds like she's trying to be your best mate... arrrgghhh I can't stand her... who are the announcers that ITV 1 use now... I wanna know that womans name so I know what to name my plastic voodoo doll with the little gold oval 'Made in Taiwan' sticker on its foot...

Yes I agree. She's so false. And why does the other woman announcer finnish every announcement with.............ITV1.

and they all have an annoying new thing of promoting a programme say for tomorrow and then saying before that. And introducing a programme today. How can it possibly be before that. If you catch my dtrift Confused

I believe Mark Lipscomb still presents Central news south
Glen Thomsett is still on regularly on ITV
Trish Bertram seems to be mainly on 5 but pops up occasionally on ITV - and seems to do the promos for ITV as well
Ted May seems to be a regular on 5
any news on Maggie Mash ? or Amanda Youngs?
or Andy Marriott?
