Coronavirus - Impact on live/recorded shows

True, I've seen the Friends repeats on Channel 5 and they look stunning in HD considering how old some of the episodes are but I guess there's a bigger market to justify remastering Friends in HD than they is for The Royle Family.

I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted it to look as gritty as it does. The newer post-HD specials always felt a little too clean, as silly as it sounds.

Were they shot on video?

I think they were still shot on film, 2-perf 35mm I think. There was a report that a load of footage from one of the specials had to be reshot because of a camera fault that wasn't apparent until the film was developed and watched. If it was on video something like that would have been noticed as they were filming.

Sheridan Smith has posted on Instagram she’s been recording as Cilla for the Royal Variety Performance so it’s definitely on its way at some point soon.

It's going to be recording at the Blackpool Winter Garden next Sunday.

Just seen on Instagram that Pointless Celebrities is using plexiglass between the pairs.

Are the pairs cohabiting couples?

Probably not otherwise they wouldn't need the plexiglass.

I assumed you meant... well, literally what you said, between the pairs (they're pretty far away from each other but they do shuffle about and it would be for the look of the thing as well), rather than between each person in a pair.

I know they've shifted the programme before, but due to the PM announcement tonight, The One Show is on BBC Two so here's that slide for posterity.

Given the importance, can they really not get a LiveU into Downing Street.
