There was Kennedy in 1963?

Something arguably that ITV handled with more reverence than the Beeb?

Didn't that get covered regionally? Granada are usually credited with being the first to 'break' the news

Well, now, a quick Google reveals this

Granada actually produced a fascinating programme for the 30th anniversary of the assassination in 1993, asking people where they were when it happened. They interview Mike Scott about him being the first to break the news on Granada. (Starts at 2:30)

There’s also an interesting story about the deputy leader of the Labour Party appearing drunk on a Rediffusion programme that night.

Unfortunately the third part is blocked so we don’t get to hear the end of Mike Scott’s final story.

After a break in July (presumably due to running short on the number of these filmed pre-lockdown), a new ITV Creates set has appeared for August this morning. With work by Create & Young Carers and a piece that other than featuring the letters 'I T V' you'd have to really squint to see their current logo in.

Well they're missing a couple of blocks off the V for a start!

I guess the good thing though about ITV Creates is some of them are so forgettable when they do use them again you assume they're new.

How very odd. It looks a bit chucked together imo and seems a tad unnecessary.

Just seen an ident on ITV with a computer-hacker-style interruption featuring a progress bar saying 'Loading New Shows'. Is this new?

Maybe it'll be like the old days - new autumn season, new looks - well idents, possibly. I doubt it, though.

I first noticed it before Corrie last night

I imagine it’s part of a tease to advertise the new programming that will form part of the autumn season
