That sounds about right, I think Mer/HTV/Ang transferred to LNN spring/summer 2002, (ready for the October 28th 2002 'big bang'?)
I'm trying to remember the point 16:9 broadcasts were carried on Meridan 'properly' for the first one or two years most output was 4:3 /14:9 soggy PAL derived , only special occasions like international football matches, and big ticket LE was in 16:9 and no PAL iteration. There'd be manual patching at the start and end of each broadcast, and the ads in pillarbox. Didn't matter, the On Digital era signals were so patheticly powered in Meridian's region, it was only me watching anyway.
The date in the clip is November 2001, no way they'd have had a manual TX suite by then
