No there were some civilian editions but they came under the name 'The People Play', and there was an app you could download and play along at home, which I remember doing. However I recall Chris Tarrant saying he thought they were a disaster because none of the contestants took the risk of getting the million and just decided to take the money early in the game.
There's no "Is that your final answer" either. To this day the Australian format doesn't have either because they were the first to buy the format.
Just to correct this. The Aussie version did eventually adopt the regular FFF format. Of course they have now bolted on FFF first round of 10 questions where they have to select a single answer.
Seems like someone is very desperate to not have the Tonight Major Fraud documentary on YouTube... the last version that was actually uploaded is gone, this time taken down "by a third party" (my suspicions as to who did this is another YouTube who made a comment on said upload threatening to have it removed).
Millionaire with Jeremy Clarkson coming up when?
EDIT: Actually, a bit of googling found yet another channel with the documentary uploaded. Some of these reuploads are really cleverly hidden!

So the Millionaire UK channel is broadcasting what I assume is the FULL ORIGINAL episode of Charles Ingram from 9pm tonight on YouTube and is what I guess was meant to happen yesterday: (it's a Premiere hence the broken media clip below)
Just watching Pat Gibson phone a friend on the million quid question and something I hadn't noticed before...his 'friend' was 90% sure of the answer! The syndicate at work?!

It will be very interesting to see what the coughs sound like on the original ‘Tape A’ - always wanted to hear the full unedited run to £1M

You've made a very boring Friday night in lockdown very exciting.
Interestingly, for those who didn't know this info, some time after the Major Fraud documentary by Martin Bashir, another documentary about the scandal was made, called "Who Wants to Steal a Million?"
Sadly this one never got airtime in the UK, the only place it was broadcast was on the Croatian HRT2 network a long time ago (pieces of which exist on YouTube). That broadcast devoted about 45 minutes to the ways they could've scammed the show, which funnily enough, most of which were discussed on Quiz (discussing pager use, listening into the studio microphones from outside etc), alongside other factual information like the general direction the friend in the audience looks in.
The remaining 45 minutes were actually devoted to an unedited run of Ingram's time in the hotseat, which is the only instance of a non-edited version of his run, as everything else was edited microphones.
