They haven’t got a choice really considering it’s being produced by Sony.

I’m pretty sure one of the ABC/Disney companies produces the show under licence. Sony don’t seem so strict on everything being the same hence Hotseat, clock versions and the Super Mix format. I think the decision to go back to following UK look so religiously is probably down to the producer Michael Davies who had success doing this 20 years ago.

It was DisneyABC Domestic and Valleycrest for the syndicated version and the previous earlier Regis revivals I think.

Yes, Valleycrest is part of Disney anyway. Looking at Wikipedia it only mentions Sony companies as producers of this version. Even then it doesn’t stop Sony making changes for the US market if they wanted to, but they obviously think the current look is strong enough.

No absolutely not. Just take a look at the design of the Indian stage. The square stage just looks out of place.

However since Michael Davies is back I would imagine he'll take it back to the original format as far as he can but US'ing it in the way they do things.

I tell a lie..for season 11 for KBC the square stage has gone. The intro is actually quite nice apart from the very long sponsor message.

It’s lucky the decided to go with the UK set design as with the dark lighting all the way through and very little of the audience seen on the main shots this doesn’t really lose much due to the lack of an audience.

Another promo is out for the USA. ATH is the 'new' lifeline as well.

Quite odd to see most of Peter Kay & Paddy McGuinness’s run on Celebrity Millionaire tonight on BBC One.

I know it's desperate times but series 4 of the Best Bits of Peter Kay is really taking the piss. 24 half hours of "best bits", which is more than his C4 career of That Peter Kay Thing + Phoenix Nights + Max and Paddy I think.

Of course nobody finds Peter Kay funnier than Peter Kay does.

You can tell that by series 4 they’ve scraped the barrel so far they’ve had to dig out almost his entire appearance on Millionaire and a mildy amusing appearance on The One Show.

It was hardly “Garlic Bread” was it

I've got to hand it to the producers of Comedy Shuffle, I thought they were scraping the barrel when Series 2 started after all the good stuff had been used in Series 1. To even have any barrel left to scrape to make a series 4 is oddly impressive.
