That's very different to a national network like BBC or ITV, where it's nationally co-ordinated and across several sites and with lots of resilience

And, indeed, a lot of reliance on third party providers like Red Bee and Arqiva - who may normally be contractually obliged to keep a Chinese wall between different clients' operations, but they may also be allowed to relax that in exceptional circumstances.

Have we now passed the point where posting a link to Mitchell and Webb's 'The Event' sketches would be in poor taste?

The Aussie networks have pretty much all banned audiences and in-studio guests now according to TV Tonight.

A colleague posted this sketch as an explanation for why there's been such a run on loo roll...

Although strictly not ‘broadcast’ I had to smile that Pornhub apparently has opened their Premium service to all free in Italy during the current unpleasantness.

Or as the Jeremy Vine show probably calls them ‘supporting artists’.

I've never quite understood how the audience works for TJVS (previous TWS). From the negligible snippets I've seen, the same few people seem to appear in the audience in different positions...

When it was The Wright Stuff then you often saw the same members of the audience most days of the week. I stopped watching after a while so I don’t know how many of those regulars made the switch from Whiteley’s to ITN.

Suspect they have a bigger crew than audience.
