Also useful if you want some structure to the message, eg required fields for the name, city, pulldown menu to select if they are emailing for a particular feature, checkbox for giving permission to read it out on air.

Or if you want to impose a character limit so you get brief messages rather than War and Peace.

Some CITV continuity from the first month of the Autumn 1998 refresh, the new presentation and set are there, but the DOG still appears in its oversized state. I imagine it got updated to coincide with the launch of the new ITV corporate logo on October 5th?

Surprised they were still using that massive DOG five months later after it launched, especially compared to the ITV Logo on the promo trailer further on in the video.

It had lost a considerable amount of weight by Christmas that year, presumably as you say in the autumn:
