8 seater certainly sounds very fab. Just think of all the superstars that Nick will be able to have on, as well as the list above. The whole Gardening World team will be able to come in and join him and there would still be room for Kay. Also Anne Diamond and Ainsley Harriot are being considered.

Well it's not long now!

The new set is bound to be a corker!

Do we know when it wil appear yet?

Will it be as part of breakfast with kay, the lunchtime or the 6:30?

Do we know if something is going to drastically change? We could all be getting excited and find that the only change is with the sofa instead of the desk.

I hope there are more changes, music titles, imagine if they stayed within the BBC branding but got their own music and have created their own new titles!

no details on that side of things - but i think that ANY change is nice - especially when you think how long they've had the old set. titles/music would be welcome - but i think its better to expect less than be expecting too much and being underwhelmed.

that said, this is a revolution in the way news is presented, we must not lose sight of that!

its revolutionary in the way midlands today is presented, central news have had a sofa for a couple of years now, it will be interesting to find out how they are going to use the sofa on the show and not have the computers and technology that they usually do!

central news is beside the point - they lost the plot along time ago, and as such their revolution is forgotten and meaningless.

news, sport, features and interviews will happen on the sofa. i think the coffee table still has a glass top and a computer in - so i guess they'll share a'la central news - mind you the only time they seem to use the PCs is for nick to get an upto date cricket score to read out!

We could now be just over 4 hours away from seeing the new look Midlands Today studio, and Kay unveiling the sofa update. I'm sure Chas won't have wasted this oppertunity to tart up the graphics in his own unique style (loves having the Midlands Today logo on name straps!!) and a few more tweaks here and there, even if there are no new titles (don't think they will)

But anyway, even if Kay doesn't unveil the new system at 6.25am, or by whoever even at lunchtime - it will mean one last day to see the conservatory in all its glory - we can't lose really.

I got up especially for this, it hasn't been a waste for me - but I hope you appreciate the images.

Well, no new titles or graphics - but the set is everything it should be...FAB!!!

I'll just leave you with the images, and Kay - as you can tell - is extremely proud and certainly mentioned the fact they had a fabulous new set twice!!

Not bad at all . . . Here's hoping it won't be too long before BBC NWT adopt a new set layout similar to this . . .

A clearer view of Kay and her window out on the glorious Midlands on the 6.55 update:

ALSO, what did I tell you? I KNEW Chas wouldn't be able to resist slapping the Midlands Today brand on the aston - and in a very nicely bodged way too, and someone wasn't thinking about the clock either:
