Eye's Down has been moved to 9.30 with Trevor's World of Sport dropped and an episode of Only Fools and Horses showing at 9pm

Anyone know what that's all about?

Probably under-performed in the ratings.

Interesting, and I thought this sort of thing only happened on big bad ITV1 not the marvellous BBC1 Wink

I actually though Trevor's world... was slightly more funny than Eye's Down, but both are filed somewhere next to The House that Jack Built in any case

Perhaps the BBC realised OFAH hadn't been shown for five days and paniced!!!

Really, the BBC shouldn't be doing this. If the same attitude had been taken back in the early 80's, Only Fools and Horses wouldn't be around for them to repeat today.

Guy Jenkin was much better at the satire than Andy Hamilton in Drop The Dead Donkey. Jenkin did Crossing The Floor and A Very Open Prison a few years ago, which were excellent.

It doesn't suprise me to be honest, I would have thought that they kept Trevor's World Of Sport, though I haven't seen it at all, it looks much better than Eyes Down, which I have watched. Maybe 10.35pm on a Monday is more suited, though it maybe 'alright' by some of the critics, it doesn't seem to fit in a schedule where both programmes before it are sitcoms, really it is something more of a BBC Two comedy, or a comedy which isn't 'Friday'.

This put's the whole BBC ethos into question really. They've invested in this programme, ok it might not be your traditional mainstream comedy, but their remit allows them to do things a bit different that wouldn't be done elsewhere. Is this the end of BBC One taking risks in the drive for ratings ?

At this rate, the ratings driven, commercial BBC One will become full of Only Fools & Horse & Eastenders and populist stuff whilst everything a little bit different is shunted off to BBC Two and Four.

It's a panic move. Have they watched this week whilst ITV have wiped the floor with the BBC especially during prime time and made an attempt to salvage their schedule ?
