I do hope the dark plot lines go with her!

Corrie is actually rating very strongly, up year on year and up to 2m ahead of EastEnders.

I’m just wondering how long after Phelan is finally done and dusted it will be before people complain it’s now boring when we have a light plot involving Kirk dressing up as a bee, or a silly storyline with Dev centre stage. Michael Parkinson might then like it, but the future viewers of the show might not.

I don't like how Emmerdale has become a training ground for Corrie Execs - the two are actually very different beasts and the transfer from one to the other in reality doesn't seem as natural as it appears on paper now. I guess Corrie comes with the bigger salary because the way things are now I'd see the Emmerdale job as more desirable now they're firmly estabhlished as the nations second most watched soap, yet with relatively little pressure compared to taking the exec role with Corrie or EastEnders.

Is tonight the first on-screen view we've had of the new Costa and Co-Op?

Carefully (and sensibly) worded Tweet, there. Thumbs up

"...on Britain's iconic soap" avoiding the obvious complication of it being physically located on a "Victoria Street", but within a soap entitled "Coronation Street"!

The sign above the Co-Op says 'Welcome to Weatherfield's Co-Op'. However, Weatherfield is supposed to be a large suburb; after all, it has a Town Hall a Crown Court and a Mayor, so surely there would be more than ONE Co-Op within the area.

It would be more realistic if it said 'Welcome to Victoria Street's Co-Op'.

It would be more realistic if it had a cage of rubbish, a tied-up Rottweiler and a member of staff having a fag outside it.

The street is far too clean. It needs litter at least to make it look more realistic and graffiti on some walls.

There is plenty of graffiti on the door to Webster's garage.
