Very nice with the original titles, enough nostalgia without being overly dependent on it..and a thanks to the team at TLS thrown in (which I’m sure they’ll make more of at the end of the month).
Still wish they’d do something about the funeral credits.
It’s a shame they didn’t invite both sets of Little Ant and Dec’s to sit in the audience. Although the first lot may still be at that stage of being embarrassed by it all, and the second lot might be annoyed that they have to concentrate on their school work now rather than getting free trips to Disney world.
I think only the first lot were included in the best bits. Agree with Asa they got the balance right - and inevitably Twitter went into meltdown when they said it was their last series... at London Studios.
Mulhern has personality and charisma. Scarlet always comes across as a competition winner who won the chance to co-host and still can't believe her luck.
As for tonight's show, it was great to see the fellas put on the spot for a change. I've always said they shine when they're not as tightly rehearsed, and the Win The Ads surprise felt more like the glory days of SNT.
Scarlett is better than Mulhern. But not by much. I find Scarlett annoying and Mulhern too cocky. Ashley Roberts I always found to be pretty good... as well as Kirsty Gallagher from the original run.
The show tonight was good given the large amount of live segments, the amount they managed to pack into the show and the seeing that it wasn't as tightly rehearsed and included plenty of spontaneity. Let's hope they keep this up for the rest of the run.
In terms of the competition fix, It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't firmly deny the one person from winning on Singalong Live despite pleads from Sophie Ellis-Bextor and the audience.
Yet they're fine for Scarlett to pretend to find a token when the couple clearly can't find it. Doesn't really seem very fair to me.

The first Little A&D were 18 IIRC when they did the Apprentice spoof in 2013 and I think it was the first episode of the revived series after the four year or so hiatus. So they'll now be at least 23 this calendar year.
The "current" Little A&D, according to news articles, knew months ago they wouldn't be coming back this year and didn't spontaneously "quit" as some publication put it. After all, there comes a point in most performing kids lives when they outgrow the role - the London Billy Elliott musical went through somewhere like 100 boys for the main character and his friend alone over the ten year period it ran.
