When did the logo-only idents start airing on 5Star? (They're like extended bumpers.) I've not seen them before.
They look the same idents they always had

As much as I try to avoid 5star due to the appalling picture quality, I sometimes catch the Aussie soap hour at 3-4pm weekdays. The breakbumper style idents are used mainly in the daytime with the repetitive pre-recorded daytime continuity. There a 3 daytime idents as far as I know, Red logo, blue logo and green logo.
It looks like 'live' or 'as live' continuity kicks in at 6pm with neighbours and the live action idents resume. Not sure when the daytime idents first started but I've seen them for a few months now.

Very helpful. I'm trying to remember back over the course of the year. Im sure I checked the channel off peak much early in the year and there were still using the live action ident. So I assume these "off peak" idents come in to being sometime in 2017?

It was around the start of October that I first noticed the breakbumper style idents, thinking they had completly replaced the live action ones, and then the live action ones appeared at the 6pm Neighbours junction, so I deduced the shorter form up idents are used during the day, and longer form up live action idents from peak evening hours......a bit like UKTV use short idents in daytime, longer ones and 'as live' continuity during the evening.
The video captures for the 5Star page on TV Whirl were done over a few days during daytime at the back end of August, and they seemed to be only using their live action ones on all the daytime junctions at this point.
