They did show it last on 18 September in the prime slot of 6am Sunday morning! I'm assuming it wasn't live [sarcasm].

They seemed to invest a bit when the Mayoral elections took place earlier this year, with Daisy McAndrew doing a pretty decent job for the last 2 weeks of campaigning. However coverage stopped though the minute the election was over - I'm not sure they even covered Khan's acceptance speech.

Here is CP24 THE MAYOR - 60 min Monthly Call-in to the Mayor of Toronto

Here is CP24's THE CHIEF - 60 min Monthly Call-In to the Chief of Police (Question Time)

Both shows are simple but packaged very nicely and informative for the citizenry. The station ident are simple beautiful moving still imagery of Toronto rather than just boring video of old ladies walking with umbrellas. Forming the CP24 logo. Then each program again uses great still photography and some timelasped video and text in an effective way. Simple and effective opens with great content. And during the program instead of boring two shot or a mix of two headshots. You get a variety. Full screen info texts. And then they mix in live towercam shots into the conversation, further driving home the point of the localism of the programme and the channel.

Night Thoughts
There was a golden opportunity for the local channel to show Mayor's Question Time in full, instead of waiting for an airing on BBC Parliament at the weekend. Oh well, there's always the 2,000th repeat of London's Burning I suppose?

Yeah, that's aggravating - especially as Assembly coverage was in London Live's bid document.

MQT does go on for about three hours, though (even if it's only monthly at most).

From Monday, London Live are moving their evening newsblock an hour earlier from 5pm to 7pm.

Desmond's fills the 7pm hour.

Although 5pm is a poor time for many Londoners, for news junkies it at least means you can watch LL at 5, ITV at 6 and BBC London at 6.30

Not a chance, clashes with 5 News.

Has the 'enhanced' travel news 'brought to you in association with Waze' started yet? According to the press release it was meant to start last month, but I haven't noticed anything different.

Yep, they've been using Waze for a while. Nothing special - just a cheap-looking Waze map on screen.

Former Wake Up London presenter Alex Beard is back at London Live after maternity leave. Not sure if she's presenting or just reporting.

Cheap says it all but also isn't potentially undo brand prominence unless it is flagged up as as financial promotion? On a separate note, I guess the football show isn't coming back? That was actually almost proper TV. What is going with their online information and why do they have pictures of Elijah Wood and Charlie Hunnam advertising a film called Hooligan? They were in a film called Green Street, not Hooligan. Are they just doing a Google image search stuff? This has happened with other stuff they have on the website too which is ricky when it comes to rights and so on. Nice, but surprised, to see Alex Beard back on screen last week.

Pleased to hear Alex is back - she is probably the best on-screen talent on their team
