Same old forgettable pointlessness from the BBC. Vocals sound a bit strangled, almost as if she's singing with a potato in her throat. She's not French either, which is a shame.

Not had a strong theme since 1998. Most people will remember the ITV one even if it's complete cack because they hear it every ad break and gets stuck in their head.

Bocelli was an inspired choice I thought in 2000. And visually, they got so much right in 2004. Think that was their last formidable titles.

Really like ITV's graphics.

Does anyone know if itv get paid to show the official sponsor at the start of their coverage. I understand they have to show them as per their contract - and does the bbc have to be compensation within their contract ?

RTE are using the official UEFA 2016 titles but their usual studio in Dublin is quite large for this tournament. It looks that they will use this layout for the Rio Olympics coverage with a few graphic alterations come August. For tonight's game; the studio has a mixture hues of red & blue around it. It may last throughout the whole tournament or not.

We will see what happens as the tournament progresses on until July.

I'm not really a fan of the official graphics, they're in quite odd shapes, a bit messy.

They are going to get very wet up there!! This just looks like a random rooftop! Will the BBC and ITV use the official graphics or use their own modified ones?? BBC have used their own in recent years and ITV the official ones. Last time in World Cup 98, BBC used the official graphics even though they were in French!! ITV didn't though.

Your thinking of the World Cup, UEFA competitions all broadcasters are required to use UEFAs from the world feed.

He's probably on Radio 5 Live. It's a shame really that line up looked really drab tonight and the only thing really letting ITV down.

Mark Pougatch is a quality broadcaster but I think the coverage is really missing the light hearted disdain for it all Chiles had - it all seems rather serious so far. Apart from the titles - they're a joke - possibly the worst titles and theme to a tournament I've seen.

Interestingly the BBC Red Button is showing "live build up" to the game with stadium pics and I presume 5 Live audio, with a graphic pointing out coverage ends when the match begins.

He's currently presenting coverage of Muhammad Ali's funeral for 5 live.

There is one I will note from hearing the ITV title music. It will remind me of watching the film; Mr Beans Holiday.

What does anyone think of the start of the opening ceremony for the Euros?

With one eye on The One Show on one screen and ITV football on the other and a tear in his eye.
