I quite fancy Sweden this year, but who else can we see as potential winners?

Really do think it's wide open though expect the winner to come from either Thursdays semi or either France or Sweden. Seems like France have realised the only way to get some French back into the contest is to host it themselves.

The voting will be great tomorrow night. It works really well at Melfest and will definitely make it much more exciting than it has been for some time.

We'll see - I think they're completely missing the point of it myself.

What I do hope (but doubt) is that the graphics in that part reveal where the votes have come from, especially the 12s. It should be easy enough to do by highlighting the countries who voted for the highlighted country and then moving their votes to that country to give the new total, although that would mean having to add the non-competing countries to the scoreboard too.

On a side note... Does anyone feel a bit 'mehh' about the actual stage this year now we've seen it on TV? It just lacks something this year.

I wasn't a huge fan of it on Tuesday but did think it seemed to work better on Thursday - though that's probably just because there were better acts on the stage.

It just seems to be one of those stages which is massive for the sake of it and they only really use the front half. Still think though one of the most impressive things about Eurovision is the turnaround of the stage in less than a minute between each act.

It just lacks a distinctive shape to it (see Vienna and Copenhagen), there's lots of black and lots of video walls. Coming to think of it I don't remember the stage at Malmo being that good either. I guess what we lose in the stage we gain in the hosting which they do very well indeed.

This photo shows that the voting graphics are identical to those of 2013.

Looks like a good production. Liking the extra bits.

Everyone loves the King of the EBU Jon Ola Sand! Not so sure about the King of R'n'b JT!!

They don't sadly, they just announce the total points and add them on.

I think Sweden have entered a pretty good song too - Australia's song is a belter too. I don't think Russia will win as the bookies suggest, but I'm sure they'll place high.

Joe & Jake, in my opinion, will be a definite top half (I think we've got a better chance than we have had for our past 4 entries at least). There are far, far worse songs on that night, and they also appear to be able to sing live (which is a big plus).

I don't get why Russia is favourite - there are far better songs and the unoriginal staging will count against it.
