The story I know was some cable services carried Nordic TCC after the UK one ceased. I'm not sure why, and I can't see what sort of contract term they'd have to fulfil for them to do that.
It wasn't the Nordic feed, it used some of their presentation elements but that's it.
but I have a vague memory of a channel continuing on cable for a lot longer as a kind of 'zombie channel' - ie the same pool of programmes put out on a loop, automatically played out as if to fulfil some sort of contractual obligation. Perhaps that was Select?
