You're not alone there. The full HIGNFY theme is brilliant to listen to, as is Arthur (BBC Election)
I have several bits of library and TV music on my MP3 player playlist, most notably the clean Sky Movies Plus theme, a piece of C4 holding/interval musak called "Ticket to Freedom", the ITV F1 theme tune from 2000, the full HIGNFY theme, and of course the BBC News 24 countdown.

The originals are the best 😉
Sportsday is my favourite BBC News-ish theme.

Channel 4 current idents are rather good , as opposed to what many think about them.
Just there's a lack of variety within them, mostly the number of them and the music soundtrack, but things are not black or white, I hope people will understand that

I do like the spinning cricket ball one, reminds me of the BBC 1 globe from the last century !

There should be a proper brand system for the BBC, with a very limited few layouts and options for sub-brands. BBC One, BBC Two, BBC Three and BBC Four should all have very similar logos, for instance. BBC Radio logos should all look largely the same. There should not be the range of type-faces, colours, effects, layouts and so on that we see now – it's a total mess, and the BBC blocks should be the prominent element.

Which one - the original from the 1970s album, or Fields of Green? As a Rick fan I have the former natch.

- 1993-2001 ITV Hearts are pretty damn good. I think Carlton did a pretty nice job with it too.
- BBC News pres 1999-2004 and 2004-2008; World, National and Regions have some sort of vibe with me.
- BBC One Balloon? It's honestly the music and scenery that makes it for me. ...And the weird bungee jumper. He's always unsettled me for some reason.
One thing i'd like to mention how magical the 1993-1999 BBC News titles were. Holy heck, it was some insane technology for 1993.

I am going to get a lot of flak for saying this, but I think that the 1993-1999 BBC News titles still are the best intros that BBC News ever had

I remember once as a little boy I caught the Nine in the virtual studio and it scared me to death! Lesson for 6 year old Rolling News - shouldn't still be up after 9pm!
