Well now that theme tune's familiar...

I quite like it already. The theme music really brings back memories and I like the new set & graphics. Shame I won't be wathcing the 2nd half or any other epsiodes (unless they reschedule) as it's up against corrie- which I think is TOTPs main downfall. I can almost guarantee a ratings plunge after 7:30 as people switch to ITV.

Why resurrect the blandest theme tune the show has ever had? And the lower case font on performance captions is almost illegible.

TOTP seems to have a new DOG Evil or Very Mad

Who is that dreadful person presenting? He should have Elton's piano dropped on him and for that matter, whoever wrote the script. The backing music on the links has to go however.

10 mins in and no interviews so far thank god.

I am really loving everything to do with this 'new' TOTP!

Well done to everyone involved! Obviously TOTP is only as good as the music around and there has been a great selection of artistes so far!

Mis-teeq singing a medley of their songs, a classic from Elton John via satellite from Atlanta and a song that I originally hated by Will Young which has really grown on me and is an amazing song! Well done Will for trying something not that obvious! A possible Xmas number one me thinks.

Not too sure about this 'following The Darkness on tour' item. To me TOTP should just be bands and artistes appearing in the studio performing live and/or great pop videos being shown. This Darkness item has really spoilt what has been a great show upto now. I think the recorded item has lost some of the edge and momentum the live acts have just built up Sad Sad

Otherwise though still a great programme - well done!

I think he seems like quite a nice lad, actually.

And I would have preferred "The Wizard" as the theme tune again... oh well.

But I like it so far.

Well I think, it's great! A fantastic refresh for the programme.

Although I was never a fan of the theme of old when it was in use - when you still got the likes of Mark Goodier and Simon Mayo presenting (!) - really great to hear it back. Would have thought they'd have gone for one of the more classic TOTP themes though. But I suppose - been there, done that kind of thing.

Love the graphics - look very nice...although not sure about that font. Capitals is OK but it's a bit more difficult to decipher in lower case. All capitals would be fine.

Oh, and of course having Will Young sing live tops it off for me. Laughing

VERY refreshing! so far Smile

Obviously the Victoria Beckham interview was pre-recorded! The audience were still all over by Kylie on stage and when it cut the audience were still clapping - it cut to the interview and everyone had moved and no-one was clapping (lol) Even the most uninterested viewer could've guessed that it was recorded and the added chuckles and laughter effects were a tad naff!

Nice to see the addition of a Top ten album count down Smile It seemed a bit pointless though when they didnt play a track from the number one album - its a shame if TOTP have intentionally not played a MJ track!

The presenter is ok and very competant - I just wonder if Andi Peter did selected him for any other reasons apart from his presenting talents?

Not too impressed with this Craig David recorded item though - its losing the impetus and energy built up from the live studio portions!

Still much more watchable than the last TOTP creation where they previously interviewed people on the streets and showed loads of behind the scenes material and totally spoiling all the performances with it!

Keep up the good work!
