Yeah I really hope its Ruth Wignell today on the Carlton regions weather. Or even better Ms Jo Rice.

I doubt it will be James Wright - He doesnt do weekends or Bank Hols. Ive only ever seen him on a Mon/Tues in recent months.

As for there being no local telly over the weekend well there never is very much these days - Sunday we have Waterfront (no rest for the HTV politcal dept, Jo Kiernan and co) and of course we have our regular HTV bulletins throughout the weekend. My money is on Catherine Evan-Williams as she hasnt done a weekend since goodness knows how long!

Did anyone see today's intro to the HTV lunchtime bulletin with Justina? There was no "Good afternoon, here's the latest news from HTV".

Instead, she just said "Good afternoon" and after a short pause started reading the headlines.

A big cock up on ITV1Wales. They played a clean ident, then a promo, then they didn't play an ident before Des & Mel.

I didn't see the promo played twice, but ITV1Wales didn't play an ident before Des & Mel - they just took the network one.

Yes the EXACT same thing happened on Wednesday's Richard and Judy on S4C.(which i noticed in passing - i dont really watch Dick n Jude)

PS - what are we all actually doing in on a GLORIOUS Good Friday with real life happenning outside rather than watching a 'best-of' Richard and Judy episode??

Maybe this forum should be renamed?

You people make me laugh, you really do. You remind me of Dad's Army -- always the little squabbles between yourselves, never quite gelling together.

Whataday [Fred] can be Pike.

Not seen any telly box today, so I have no input on these breaking stories. Isn't ITV1 trying out some new automation thing today, which would obviously affect ITV1 Wales too? And I don't watch the terrestrial tv channels very much, only upstairs in the morning, but even then I'd say the 4 Welsh channels fall off air at least 3 times a week, all togerther like, snow screen style for about 2 or 3 mins -- it's very annoying! And it can't be transmitter works, not that early.

Mind you, if it was HTV in control still, this would never happen...
[/delusions]

And if it did, at least we'd get a "Transmitter Information" beforehand to warn us! Wink
