So is he in every episode? I don't know the format

The format is like bake off, they make something every week, the worst one goes home. So, presumably if they have pulled the entire show, he is in enough episodes to warrant it.

They've suspended the series to investigate if the white supremacist tattoos are white supremacist tattoos. When they realise that they are I guess then they will evaluate if they can show any of the remaining series. If he's eliminated in one of the first few episodes I'm sure they could do some sort of recap for episodes skipped over and carry on from the episode after he's left. Although I read that the judges were impressed by his 'heart-shaped stool' in the first episode so it could be that he ends up wining the whole thing.

Is Gillian McKeith one of the judges? Wink

According to someone on DS, some journalist has found his dad was alive at least as late as 2011. So didn't die in 1988 at all.

Found the tweet, his dad was on the electoral roll at least as recently as 2011 and had been living in that address since 2002, so no way he died in 1988:

His dad's spoken out now, he didn't die in 1988, or any other year:

The article does say his dad has memory problems these days, so he could’ve forgot.

Looks like they've changed their Twitter banner to just a blank background with the Sky History logo.

I came across this story yesterday, quite clearly their background checks weren't deep enough. A hot mess.

Feel sorry for the other constestants who realise they had to share space with such a repulsive person, and the fact their efforts are now unlikely to be broadcast.

At least they'll know why it isn't broadcast, assuming it never does.

As opposed to (say), Press Ganged, which was made but not shown, and it was never explained why, though I note it appears on ITV Studios website...

It was the doubling down 'this is fine' by the press office/social team that amazed me. I know there's a lot of Twitter witch-hunts but enough people were flagging sensible concerns. Presumably some very senior people were then roped into the conversation yesterday which led to the entirely predictable outcome.

Whether the series can be salvaged remains to to seen. If he was out after a couple of weeks then shouldn't be too difficult. If he won...then no chance. Anything in-between may require some awkward editing (I've not seen it but if it's like Bake Off then things like the shot of them all lined up being judged etc.)
