I'm wondering where on earth this studio could be, if it is indeed a studio of note at all. Or just a pub or warehouse.

Cochrane Theatre in Holborn.

Did Evans just admit that this is a backdoor pilot?

He's been saying as much all week.

Lot of people on twitter are also saying NO to Grimshaw.

Grimshaw has ruined the R1 breakfast show and he'd ruin TFI Friday.

Realistically I think if this show was to carry on it would cling on to a mid-30's audience so they would really need to choose someone older than Grimshaw if Chris no longer wanted to carry on doing it.

Chris Moyles would be a good shout if he was still interested in being in media.

I rarely ever read anything on the internet that's positive about him. I'm seriously surprised he still gets invited onto things.

Nick Grimshaw has not ruined the Radio 1 Breakfast because he has attracted more young people, which if you didn't know was what he was put there to do.

Personally, as a young person, I think Nick could work really well on this show to attract a new younger audience.

You're confusing a "young audience" with "One Direction fans". Besides which, if they were going to try this sort of live music/entertainment format for a young audience, why revive and soil the TFI name?

The Guardian Online: Radio 1 loses nearly 1m listeners as Nick Grimshaw hits 12-year breakfast low: http://www.theguardian.com/media/2015/may/21/radio-1-loses-1m-listeners-nick-grimshaw-bbc-4-extra-6-music

They're intention to gain younger listeners may well be working, but it's come at a price.

But as I said, TFI Friday would always have a nostalgic edge, no matter if they wanted to attract a younger audience or not. They would ruin the brand.

Clearly nobody's reading the Twitter feed because they're making him introduce things again.

You 100% spot one, and alot of people on DS don't really understand, and also fail to grasp the overall remit of R1. Were end up back to this again: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWbZTOhoMZw

I see Grimshaw is being pushed on this again... Personnel I think he not Zainey enough..

Well remember what happened the last time when a presenter hosted the Radio 1 breakfast show five days a week and TFI Friday as well....
