Yeah, I noticed that the Sport Relief logo on the screens looked like they were lazily made with Arial instead of the real SR font.

I've only caught a bit of tonight's - the Celebrity Boxing and the 10 minutes beforehand. Not my sort of thing really, but am intrigued where it's coming from, is that one of the studios at Media City? Looks enormous

Hmm, I see their point but I think the celebrities motivate people to donate. Seeing a familiar face somehow brings home how dreadful the circumstances are.

Liz Warner, CEO of Comic Relief, has today said the organisation had taken its 'first steps' towards change, in light of criticism last year of 'white saviour' celebrities in 'poverty porn' films. The criticism followed last years footage of Ed Sheeran offering to pay for one boys housing in a film.
Interesting move after criticism from Aid watchdog SAIH; it will be interesting to see how it plays out across this years output. I know that celebrities have filmed clips as ever, so it may be a difference in the nature or edit of such films?

I’m not sure the studio audience were that into it, although to be fair, before the boxing started they were watching a couple of hours of people linking into clips.
The on the night total is down 17 million on last time. That’s quite a large drop. I had thought it hadn’t caught the publics imagination this year.

The production was very smooth and filled with energy, somethings that last year's Comic Relief lacked in, though I suppose that boils down to the use of studio facilities rather than a club.

Plus there is no Sport Relief mile this year which was where a lot of people would raise even more money and yes even BBC News channel mentioned about the drop in the total raised on the night
