It would be great for all the sky channels to adapt these new logos with the transparent glass effect for 'sky' and 'hd' sections of the logo. Sky Box Office, Sky Poker and Sky Vegas tv channels especially need to refresh.
Does anyone know how to make these logos in Photoshop? I would quite like to have a go producing one.
Simple enough, it's just a few gradients really. Of course, to get it looking accurate would be slightly harder, but still easy enough to someone with a bit of PS experience.
Interestingly they're pushing the new series of Cougar Town as "Coming soon to Living" rather than Sky Living, and are using the existing branding on the caption.

It's nothing new, I remember well in the late 1990s they advertise a film to be on at 9pm on Sunday on Sky Movies, and then straight afterwards a promo would come onto say "From Saturday Sky Movies becomes..." It's not that I'm finding odd anyway, it's seeing constant promos for Living appearing on Sky1, that is something you couldn't have imagined only a year ago, or also when you see Sky promos appearing on Challenge, something just doesn't feel right.

Bedlam and Grey's Anatomy too. I think they're waiting 'til Feb 1 until it officially changes name.

Agreed, although due to the design of the logos, you would be better producing it in Illustrator and it will scale better.
Sky Magazine has all the new channel logos and EPG numbers, with the channel logos varying between a white background and the transparent background seen above. Sky 1 HD logo looks excellent in the magazine.

If you have Illustrator, you can extract the logos from the various PDFs posted here. If you also have the current Sky font, you can spend the rest of your life mocking up just about any Sky logo imaginable.
