Do they? I've never noticed that, always been the same on both when I've looked. Not sure it even makes sense to show the 4:3 version on HD and the 16:9 on SD when the 16:9 versions are HD (well, psuedo-HD with some awful picture processing).
Not true, they aren’t using the new pseudo HD prints at all. Just the old 4:3 SD copies being played out but stretched to 16:9 with no cropping on the SD channel. 4HD pillarboxes any 4:3 content rather than stretch it

That'll be only on Sky, who for some unfathomable reason don't have an option on their set top boxes to display 4:3 SD broadcasts in their actual aspect ratio rather than stretching them to 16:9.

Well, regular Sky HD boxes do if you set the resolution to "auto" (though then you have to put up with several seconds of the picture changing format when going between SD and HD channels). Sky Q boxes though indeed don't even give you that option, which is baffling.
