I note that Liverpool KO tomorrow evening at 1915, and play again on Wednesday in Denmark at 1755, less than 72 hours later. A not too dissimilar case.

Due to UK Covid-19 isolation restrictions for Denmark that match has been moved to Dortmund.

Klopp has a certain point in that the TV companies never take anything apart from their own ratings into consideration when scheduling games. Some of the decisions are very illogical and questionable at best, even in "normal" times.

A few years back ESPN put Sunderland v Southampton on at 12:30pm on a Saturday in both league and cup a few weeks apart. I believe on the second occasion a Grand Central train broke down - GC services are infrequent so all the hardy Saints fans who had attempted the journey found themselves with invalid tickets on a East Coast service (back when it was National Express I believe) and were all charged again for the journey, and only got to the game in time for the second half.

Hearing a suggestion that we are likely to see 'normalisation' of TV Coverage when all stadia are allowed across the country to open up to a minimum of 60pct of capacity with some allocation to away supporters. We'll see.

Seems an issue for clubs with large stadia Man Utd's capacity being 75K, 60pct of that being 45K which exceeds the full capacity of most of the clubs in the league, so there's some inconsistency in this. Posting nevertheless.
