Why show this in cinemas, whats the point?

It promotes C4 to precisely the kind of audience they're trying to reach, that's the point.

I thought that the Cinema Advertising Regulator banned it, or was it only to be shown before 18 rated films?

It is being shown on TV, but only on Film Four, around about now I believe.

Funny trailer though, they're making good use of the faces from the channel.

Well you can, but they have to do so very carefully, if it's in any normal TV show then it's likely that that they will bleep it out. But say if its in a film then they will keep it in. But unlike other swear words it's the only one which is shown after 10.00pm. But as Channel 4 are making this advert on purpose you can see where people will whinge and complain to Ofcom.

It was designed to be shown before 18 Rated films at the cinema, where no-one should be offended.

Channel Four - What's your favourite swearword?

That link just throws up a page of garbled binary text. And before anyone asks, I have got Flash installed!

Typical of Davina to laugh the question off. It just proves that she's way too mumsy now for Channel 4.

That's weird -- I'm on Firefox and it opens the "Download" dialog automatically....
