Quire a bizzare one eh. It is part of the new series of adverts in which celebrities have been asked when they lost thier virginity... I think channel four is tickling it's controversial bone again.
I see what you mean by VERY strong language. Why show this in cinemas, whats the point? Apart from that, quite interesting seeing celebs at their worst.
Whilst it's a good attention grabbing trailor, I think the Channel 4 logo is far too discrete. It's easy to miss, so people could walk away thinking "what the f*ck was that about".
I doubt it, people will see all the faces, connect them together and at least come to associate them with TV, if not Channel 4
I wouldn't have thought many would know that they are all Channel 4 faces.
Well i'd think it was safe to say that Richard and Judy, Dermot O'Leary, Jon Snow and the actors from Six Feet Under would easily be associated with Channel 4.

Yes but there are others in the trailer who are not so easily associated with the channel, especially if you don't watch it! It would be easy to think that it was just a film featuring celebrities from different channels, rather than a promotion for a particular channel.
Even I didn't really know what it was promoting. When I saw the 'favourite food' promo I thought it was promoting a particular programme for Channel 4, (top 100 favourite foods or something) because the C4 logo is quite discrete.

If you listen to the end, it's revealed they are talking about the first time they were happy. Or something like that.

No that's a different one. There's how old were you when you lost your virginity, what's your hapiest memory/place, what's your favourite food, and now what's your favourite swear word.
There may be more (that I have missed), and there are more to be introduced throughout the year.
I think it's quite a good campaign. If only the channel could be given a fresh look, then it would be the great.
I'd like them to keep the square, but either introduce a new type of style (instead of the lines), or new varients.
They have managed to re do daytime many times, 4learning and the new breakfast ones, but why haven't they updated the main idents in ages?
