Gee, I just wonder how Sky One's gonna work
namewise
without a Sky Two...
You'll find many viewers don't realize a Sky Two exists, let alone a new channel called Sky Replay. Viewers wouldn't care too much if the channel is called "Sky One" or not, especially since it makes sense namewise.
Considering Sky Sports NFL is launching on on 3rd September with the new style, I would guess the rest will happen at the same time, or sometime before.
Yeah, you think Sky News is also gonna get the same kind of refresh any time soon?
A 'boxless' version of the Sky News logo isn't really going to look much different on screen if they continue to have idents/stings with the all white background.
I wonder if Sky Replay’s idents is just logo animation like sky2
The name change would tend to indicate they ultimately want something different for the channel, so why go with the same style ident as for Sky One? That would be a futile exercise.

A boxless logo won’t work with the current pres. Titles include the logo straddling a horizontal line, which won’t work without a change of some sort. It probably won’t be a huge change, but it should be noticeable.

Given that the past two major Sky News refreshes were in 2010 and 2015, I expect that it will be more than just updating the logo and making a few adaptations.
