Actually if you'd read the rest of the follow-up threads rather than cherry-picking the portions that support the points you want to make, you'd have found this follow-up:

I quoted the bits that explained why the episodes were not being shown and the bits that I wanted to respond to. TV Forum is not a Facebook mirror. I hadn't actually read all the posts on Facebook when I posted here. Besides, the post that I quoted didn't support the point I was making at all, quite the opposite. I was disagreeing with Challenge[TV] not showing Stars in their Eyes because someone was impersonating Gary Glitter. At least I posted links in my post so that interested parties could read the whole thing. More than you have done.

Here, I have done it for you.

A very brief clip of Blankety Blank Series 5, Episode 9 was shown on Newsnight last night, for some reason...

Yep if you listened to what Emily was saying it was to do with the government supposedly having a blank cheque for flood repairs.

Thought it quite clever meself, a very Emily Maitlis thing to do and it livened up an otherwise dull report

David you naughty boy!

EDIT: Having just watched the clip, my favourite parts were the Windows Ding noise to signify a correct answer (as used by Numberwang), and the Audio Network piece for the timer.

I see the library version of the Blockbusters theme is being used in a McVitties advert.

It's not a library version. It's a commercially released version.

I don't think that theme from Ed Welch has ever recieved a commercial release, and it was originally a library track.

It was never a library track...... the commercial track is in the same legue as many current stv themes.

is that Kirsten O'Brien over the ident?

It certainly sounded like her, so that was my thought.

Before Finders Keepers this morning she said it was her birthday tomorrow and she will be watching TNA. That checks out...

It's library music. The a version of the track is about 3 minutes long, the b version is about 90 seconds, and there's also a 60 second edit as well that I know of, and probably a 30 second edit and stings as well.
