Don't like it! At All! It is all too much like old tunes.
And they were getting so far!
Their new logo was lovely, the set was great, it was all becoming modern and unlike Blue Peter with a grand opening piece, and even using Ash's Burn Baby Burn as the title music to BP Unleashed, but this is just wrong.
It doesn't sound modern, it sounds very old.
And those that say that the current, well last theme didn't sound modern must be a bit backwards. How can orchestral music have a date? Pop, rock, r'n'b they all go out of fashion now and again, but you never get that with an orchestra, mainly because they are playing lovely sounding instruments all intertwinned into one sound.
I must admit though that the actual recording of the last theme tune sounded better than when they added sounds to give it a slightly oriental feel.
That is the good thing about Blue Peter that they always show you any changes that are made to the show.
Like in 1999 they shownt you Konnie meeting set designers, going and recording the music with the orchestra, filiming the titles and then bringing the set in, and then they even went and explained widescreen.
