Yes i can see it now - a camera at eye-level with a checkout's conveyor belt, and suddlenly a box the size of the logo is placed on the small metal bar at the side of the belt [so you'd have your logo on screen] and then various householdish items would be passed through the checkout.

That'd make a good daytime ident, actually! They could do foody ones for lunchtime - like sandwiches and a bottle of water being passed up.

Sounds very similar to the very crappy BBC 2W idents.

You obviously haven't seen all the 'S-Club Heaven' weeks they've had on the CBBC Channel, where they used to spend all week plugging S-Club 7. Not sure what happened after the original 7 split though. Very Happy

As for this new ident, perhaps they'll bring out a new 'The One' promo to coincide with it. It'll be about a year since the last 'The One' promo, which lasted for 'The One' night, before being axed. Laughing

How about the Dead Ringers version of a BBC ident where Tony Blair is dressed as a ballet dancer. Laughing

On second thoughts whilst the BBC is still indepentant maybe not.

Some caps of the new idents here. I would post them here, but I don't think people would be too happy waiting for eleven images to load to see they're just taking the p.

On a serious note though, am alone when I say the whole concept of the BBC One idents has gone. Some may argue it was never there. I think an entirely new concept of BBC One idents would be more appropriate.
