What is the reason again why they call it the Horror Channel and not CBS Horror, considering it is a CBS run channel and shares the same on screen look/logo as the other CBS channels?

I think because "Horror" as a genre is more niche and less general than "Reality, Drama, Action"

The Horror Channel was originally independent before it was bought by Zonemedia, after which it was renamed Zone Horror alongside the other Zone channels of the time. When the CBS branding was brought in on the rest of Zone’s channels, it reverted to the original name. Perhaps higher ups didn’t want CBS associated with horror? Its sister channel Zone Thriller was completely shut down and replaced by CBS Action.

CBS Reality has been through a few rebranding exercises too. It was originally Reality TV with its own branding before being brought under the Zone umbrella and renamed Zone Reality. It also had a sister channel at one point, Reality Extra.

I still think that CBS Horror is a bit more of an appropriate name than Horror Channel. It makes it feel more of an umbrella brand.

Mind you half the content on horror isn't CBS.... so calling a channel CBS while showing BBC, NBC, ABC FOX, etc stuff is backwards.

No it isn't, it's how the industry works. The networks in the US have historically aired shows produced by their rivals too -the biggest network show in the US now is probably This is Us, airing on NBC, made by FOX, owned by Disney/ABC.

You know what mean the channels are there to promote its brand. Nearly all the programmes on the channels are made by CBS Wink Horrror is a very mixed bag.

What do you think Sony are planning on doing with TruTV going forward as True Crime has the crime angle covered? Or what will it show as the US version is more of a reality comedy channel with shows like Impractical Jokers (Most of these shows are already on UK TV already). Is Ice Road Truckers first-run or a free to air premier? What other first run series are on TruTV other than AGT? Ink Master?

First Off, True Crime is stuck on the local band, meaning it doesn't have full coverage on Freeview. So there could swap the two around and give True Crime a bigger audience. I dont think Tru Tv has anything else brand new on it bar what you said. Its nearly a years since there brought the channel and do sod all with it. What was the point in buying it?
