Mesdames Young and Ford BOTH exemplify the art of dumbing down beyond belief, talking down to you as if you're a two year old and treating you as if you're a turd on the lounge carpet.

Slightly off the Kirsty topic, but I have to vote "neutral" on Matthew Godknowshowyouspellit.

I've never found him that good, OR that bad.

Kirst Young is one of the most popular and most trusted newscasters on British TV. I think she comes across so well, she showers profesionalism on everything she's involved in. I think she was voted 2nd in the 'Most trusted newscaster' poll. Good old Trevor came 1st.

I know for a fact that she will remain the face of five news when Sky news takes over from ITN.

Not sure that's true, the average person wouldn't have a clue who she was. I believe that Anna Ford, Mary Nightingale, Katie Derham, Jane Hill, and Fiona Bruce - are much well known, and are as popular - if not more - than Kirsty.

Was the poll from in an internal 'five' memo per chance? Surprised

I like katie D and Andrea Catherwood they do not come across like head girl prefect types as Fiona Bruce and co do .Kirsty has the nack of connecting with the viewers and talking to you NOT at you .

However i would gladly get rid of all of them and replace them with Carol Barnes Julia Sommerville and Selina Scott and i love Leyla D she is stunning (and NO i don't fancy her i'm gay ) she always look so smart and has beautiful eyes and fantastic skin.Leyla D should be on ITV 1 with the main news .

Agreed she is not in the same league as Maggie Mash but who is .
