I thought the whole thing was a bit rushed...Angus seemed to have to rush through his anecdotes between each item and there wasn't enough chance to laugh in between.
I thought it wasn't bad but not up to HIGNFY standard. Those jokes about Charles and the other one were pretty sick too I thought and not really a thing to laugh about.
But overall, 6 out of 10 but will have to do better - and drop sick jokes or face public outcry.
I have to admit, this weeks episode had me glued to my seat. Some proper decent celebs this time instead of Tara Palmer pot-addict! The pub landlord was hilarious, as was Uri Gellar, and Angus Deayton seemed much more comfortable and was actually a lot funnier too.
I think this show could turn out to be a winner if it carries on like this.
I quite like this too. I've never seen HIGNFY, QI, or any of those kinds of programmes, but I think I'll be watching this from now on! I just don't like the titles, but I can live with them.
Uri seems to think he's "one of the big celebs" - and he really believes he has magical powers given to him from the king of planet zarg ... weirdo.
The odd thing about this show is, that like HIGNFY, They think it's all Over and other shows like it, it's very relaxed on the answers of questions etc, the quiz isn't the main part of it, the banter is. Yet unlike the others you actually do win a holiday. I just find it rather odd that it's so relaxed when this prize is at stake
As MOD said though, the titles are rather cheesy, and the studios a bit too bright too lol. Perhaps just the right style for tabloid news quiz
MediaG doesn't appear to mention the ratings, but a member on DS quoted this from Broadcastnow:
Broadcastnow posted:
ITV1's weak spot in the schedule was the quiz show Bognor or Bust at 10pm as only 2.7 million (19.4%) tuned-in to its second outing. The opening show lat week managed 4.2 million (21.1%). BBC1's news, also at 10pm informed 4.6 million (24.5%)
Personally I don't like the titles or the set, apart from that it is not too bad.
Eh??? Huh??? :

So you don't like the titles or the set but you think they are not too bad??? Aren't you contradicting yourself here? Not liking them and then liking them?
Well, after the slightly better comments about edition two, I thought I might try edition three, only to find Tara (don't tempt me or I could get libellous) Palmer-Tomkinson was on it again.
Suffice it to say, the programme's about five minutes in and I'm HERE, not watching any more.
