The end credits for this evenings "The Brits are Coming" were along the bottom of the screen, but with no black background obscuring the bottom portion of the screen, something which I don't think I've seen before. Hopefully this isn't just a one-off, and we'll be seeing more like this in the future.
Finding it difficult to visualise? Are ITV changing the credit styles then?
At the end of The Brits 2014 the CA introduced Ant and Dec and the credits were shrunk so they could speak (in vision) about being back on Saturday or something. Before they had finished speaking, the CA started speaking over them. This was on HD. I thought this was a bit odd, so I rewound to have another look, which I can only do in SD. It turns out that on the SD version Ant and Dec didn't start speaking, i.e. the video didn't play. This explains why the CA started speaking. Why would the SD version be different to the HD version?
Is the HD feed still separate from SD then? Until last year or so (maybe two now), ITV HD didn't have any continuity (or credit squeezes) over end credits. I thought that when ITV HD began airing ECPs was when the SD feed became a down conversion of HD.

Could it be a Leeds/Chiswick thing ? ITV SD in 'Chiswick' regions is an HD down convert, but not for 'Leeds' regions (or vice versa ?)
I notice that the Chase appear not to be using the laugh tracks they've been using to give the illusion of an audience recently (at least clips on YouTube appear not to have them):

That is a YouTube exclusive clip (nicked from the official channel) - another video about a giant cock is missing some sound effects.
