The ITV News is now using the generic credits bit at the right.

As there isn't any credits on the 10.55am Headlines, the blue bit was blank except a 'ITV News' title.

The style of the ITN caption on the left hasn't changed

And the 'From ITN' bit of the introductory announcements has been cut off.

It now starts 'the ITV Lunchtime News...'

And reporters are now signing off 'ITV News'

Another change....

Correspondents and Reporters now sign off with 'ITV News' instead of 'ITN' e.g. 'John Sergeant, ITV News, Westminster'

On the Morning News the site credit thing was in screen at the end despite no credits, It also said ITV News - preparing for when it becomes a repackaged News at Ten. Just because ITV News at Ten does better in the ratings genrally than BBC, they think they can do what they like!

errrr..... that's not right, when the 2 go head to head, BBC One normally wins out.

Why do ITV need to stick the horrid credit backround thing on EVERYTHING they can, even if it does not fit. Yuk!

I noticed the Itv news thing at the end of reports. Why change? It is not as if you do not know that it is ITV. Everyone knows that ITN make it too.

I am quite surprised that the generic credits have also turned up on Wheel of Fortune, as it's an SMG programme. Considering SMG don't using anything ITV/ITV1 generic on their two station identities, how come it's on at least one of their shows?

Or do ITV1 bods re-edit it for England and Wales, and it is shown with the usual closing credits in the SMG regions?

SMG for the ITV Network. Strange how CITV DOESN'T USE THESE. Today's lunchtime news had a problem. And the words 'Lunchtime news that should be above the balcony were shown briefly at the credits.

Yes today's itv lunchtime news was a bit different!

There was a live report with some reporter outside some court buildings commenting on a case and the camera was just continually moving and zooming in close on the reporter - and just generally moving everywhere rather than staying focused on the reporter - even John Suchet was grinning when they eventually cut back to him!

Also at the very end the itv Lunchtime News graphic was visible over the generic itv end credits and ITN production caption.

But more mysteriously you could see the 'fake' newsroom windows that are coloured red/pink/blue behind the presenters supperimposed over the end caption aswell?

I always thought that those 'fake' newsroom windows were not computer generated but some sort of projection rather than chromakey or the like! Does anyone know more about those 'fake' newsroom windows on itv news?
