It's the long standing Dutch 'tradition' of Zwarte Piet (Black Pete)

That's what I thought (which at least has some elements of justification) but the presenter clearly says one of them is pretending to be Winnie Mandela.

I always think 'tradition' is a very poor justification for something which is clearly unacceptable.

'We've done it for years, so it must be right' doesn't wash.

Not quite in the same vein as "integrated sponsorship" but CiTV's Tellytots strand was sponsored and it was done in the style of the surrounding service presentation of the time:


You'll notice the brand appears on the same oval shape as the CiTV logo did and the sea ripple is the same as well and was relatively seamless. Believe this variant appeared on a home video release too.
