I think its going to be expected that this years’ im a celeb will be a lot more low key than normal. I think that, while it is disappointing that things a bit more limiting than normal, its expected since the location and timing does not suit doing many of the trials and challenges that are very easy to achieve in the height of an Australian summer with massive valleys on tap. I can look past many of the limited aspects just because of this.
Don’t forget that when iac started, it was a lot more basic and simple, it took them years before they started going more “all out” on the trials and challenges.
One thing I've seen people bringing up is why they still have a clock on the live footage, when it's in the UK this year and we know what time it is. It makes sense when it it's Australia so that people know what time it is over there for context, but it really seems a waste of time for it to be there on this series.
As the clock’s been there for every series, it’s an easy part of the look they can replicate and give that sense of continuity. You can either take reasoning that or that they’re doing it for a bit of a light hearted joke. Either way it makes sense
Tonight’s prank task is quite fun, but very Big Brother.

Its just a harmless gag, nothing more, nothing less

Agree with the clock being a light hearted joke, but it's also a good way of them in a sense being honest with viewers about what is live and what isn't. This might become more relevant once people start to be evicted, if they film them in the same way as they used to, filming the bridge walk during the break etc.

I've noticed that the new celebrities have not yet appeared in the opening sequence yet.
