First time in ages I've actually watched a programme on ITV1. Probably the last time for quite a while too... anyway, interesting about the swearing. They bleeped "s-hit" until the first ad-break and "f-uck" until the second. And didn't speak to Gordon live until nearly 10 o'clock!

Is it my imagination or does Mark Durden-Smith get camper with every programme he presents?

I don't think he's "one of them".

I have to say - at the risk of making myself sound feeble - I have really warmed to Hell's Kitchen. Surely a pun in there? Ed.

Not keen on the Extra Portions bit, but the moments when Angus tries to talk to Mr Ramsey are brilliant.

As background noise, it's not bad. And hey, it may be another reality TV show, but it's what ITV's always been about: popular television.

Yes I have too, cat... but I hope they change the menu at the start of week 2 otherwise it's gonna get REALLY boring watching them (try to) cook the same things over and over.

Hmmm..had it on in the background. Seemed like the typical reality show. Angus looked a bit lost doing it live, especially at the end trying to talk to Gordon and filling.

Anyone get the feeling that this will be as good as it gets for Angus from now on?

I heard somewhere that Angus will be doing some sort of panel quiz show for ITV soon. Whether that happens is a different story.

I'm surprised that Belgian bloke doesn't quit. He gets such a hard time and he isn't even one of the contestants!

Typical that all this action has happened on the day when Hell's Kitchen is shoved out of the way to 10pm due to football and therefore the ratings wouldn't be as good. To partially compensate ITV1 are showing an extra edition at 11pm, thats in a change to the advertised schedule.

Nothing been dropped right? Everything is just 30 minutes later then billed. Taxi Nights at 11:30, Win, lose or Draw (great show) at 00:00 and Redcoats (Cheep as s**t but something strangly exciting watching camp redcoats after midnight on a weeknight) at 00:30.

I do like Wednesday nights on ITV1. I do like to watch the above programmes before drifting off thinking of England. The extra 30 mins will just be chopped off Nightscreen I would think.

It might have something to do with the viewing figures plummeting. According to Broadcast Now, 3.2 million viewers have 'deserted the show in droves'......

Something Bob Geldof recently said might provide another point:

"People want to see reality on TV, rather than yet more reality TV."
