I see the usual US network mentality was in force at the end of Friends - no special credits sequence for the last time Friends would ever be shown on network television, instead straight into ECP credits for another programme. A 'right that programme has finished it's run, lets never talk about again' attitude if ever there was one. Hopefully the export credits aren't just the standard re-edit of season 1 titles over instrumental theme used over every other end of season episode.


I saw a different ECP when I watched it on Global in Canada... the credit sequence for Friends showed beauty shots of New York along with the normal closing credits. Not sure if the theme was played in the background since it was squished in half and had the Global ECP going.


The version I've seen cut to shots of new york as well with the Friends theme without vocals. I'm glad I got that version to me it seemed to say 'The End'

I know I've seen it already but I'm rather eager to see it on C4. It won't have all the usual NBC or what not cuts and things.

Also E4 will screen an episode of Friends on the hour every hour.

:O So there's no Friends tribute programme? They had one for Sex and the City and that only went on for three (five?) seasons - compaired to Friends' 10 Seasons. It's also much more popular than SatS, with approximately 50mil people watching the final episode in America - with large viewing figures expected here to. How can they not run a tribute programme for it?

If they didn't want to go to the trouble of making a tribute show, they could have at least showed one of the behind the scenes shows - like The One in London Featurette, or the Bloopers Show.

NBC had an hour long show of Clips before 'The One' - Really it was just clips of the last 10 series. The did have specials of Operah and Jay Leno, but C4 don't have the rights for those shows. I think Operah is Sky One and Jay Leno is FTN. So unless C4 make their own then you probably won't get any.

Cool, that makes great Daytime TV viewing for once! I nice to see E4 bothering in the day, some may say its overkill, but as long as they're good episodes it sounds like good viewing IMO.

At the risk of turning this into a Friends thread, have you seen the "Black Friday" ads for the final episode. Brilliant!

Re: tribute programmes. I think T4 are on the set that weekend, and will be showing 6 episodes as chosen by the UK's 6 "Best Friends".
