Hi all,

Does anyone remember a Civil War drama from the 1960's called The Fighting Cannons; I don't believe it was scheduled as it was shown when camera staff went on strike sometime in the 60's or early 70's. If I remember correctly it was on ITV. I have attempted to locate more information on this series but to no avail. I would be grateful if anybody has any information on the show. Maybe I have the title wrong; but it was about two brothers with the surname Cannon, who where on opposite sides in the Ameircan Civil War, hence the Fighting Cannons.

Thanks,
Tony.

sorry I cannot remember "The Fighting Canonos" as a show.
If you are referring to the strike in the 70's on ITV no shows were transmitted as the entire network was closed down - apart from the test card. The only "Cannons family" I remember where in "The High Chaparel" a western series on BBC 2. However it was not set during the Civil War but on a ranch near Tuscon.

No, I'm talking about the strikes in August 1968, and "The Fighting Cannons" was shown on the "ITV Emergency National Service" that was run in the interim period.

I hope this may help somebody help me.

Tony.
