Think it'll be ITV given the logo used. And actually would cause less disruption to the ITV schedule post 11pm than that of ITV 2.
I'd bet it'll be on both. ITV2 would do reruns like BBC Three does now, but new episodes would be on ITV. Of course, they need to actually acquire the rights first - we weren't supposed to see that image.

OK, so ITV dress up the lifts when people come to visit for a cup of tea to make them feel at home/brown-nose them. If the meeting wasn't a success and they didn't get Family Guy, why is the lift still adorned with what is essentially an promo for a show that the channel won't be broadcasting? They'd have taken the image down after Fox executives left surely?

Unless that's in the reception at ITV which is open to the public ?

Anyway all a fuss about nothing. Just itv courting Fox.

If ITV acquire the rights, it'd guarantee viewers on ITV2 in the 2300-0000 slot once BBC Three closes probably leading the multichannels in the ratings. New episodes could also be aired around 10pm on Sunday's on the main channel which is also another quiet ratings area.

This would be a better solution for FG viewers with Freeview/Freesat who'd more likely see the show in around the same time slot than being shunted around the BBC.

BBC3 comedy Family Guy set for move to ITV
ITV is in talks with US network Fox to buy the rights to the popular animated series

Peter Griffin and co could be on their way to a new home in the UK, as ITV prepares a bid for the rights to Family Guy.
RadioTimes.com understands that executives from Fox, the US network that makes the animated comedy series, recently visited the ITV offices to discuss the deal. They were ushered upstairs in a specially decorated lift, emblazoned with an image of the Griffin Family alongside the ITV logo and the words "Together as one freakin' family".
Family Guy has aired on BBC3 (as well as Fox) since 1999, where it regularly pulls in some of the channel's highest viewing figures. But BBC3's proposed move online, and the subsequent cuts to its programme budget, are likely to threaten its ability to compete for such big-name buy-ins, as well as to produce its own shows.
BBC3 recently announced that it will not be recommissioning cult zombie drama series In the Flesh, explaining that financial constraints only allow it to produce one original drama series each year.
If ITV does pick up Family Guy, a possible home for Seth McFarlane's near-the-knuckle animated series could be ITV2, which is looking to position itself as the broadcaster's new home of TV comedy.
RadioTimes.com has contacted the BBC about the future of Family Guy on BBC3 but is yet to receive a response. An ITV spokesperson declined to comment.

When it comes to those lifes there are, as said changed every other week and are in full public view..

But that Radio Times article is near enough a direct lift of the original article which started the speculation.

And of course, 2017 isn't that far away. And there's the issue of what happens to Family Guy when BBC Three goes online as there is no online agreement for it. Most likely it moves to BBC One or Two, note the tweet from the press office doesn't say it'll stay on BBC Three. After 2017 I dare say the rights will be available if Auntie doesn't (or can't afford to) renew.

Considering how long Fox drags out their animated shows (i.e. The Simpsons) I don't think that's likely. And even if it was axed, I'm sure ITV would be more than happy with the rights to the repeats for ITV2, seeing as they bring in a healthy audience.

Channel 4 shows very old episodes of The Simpsons, even though they can show newer ones from around five years ago (they've caught up to the early HD seasons), and they're still popular enough that they can introduce a second episode at 5.30.

I think The Simpsons deal gives C4 the rights to a block of 5 older series and one newer one, though still years behind Sky.
