Just to be contrary, I thought it was far better than last week's episode.

Opinion seems to be 70/30 of people not liking it on Twitter.

Oh my God! They *didn't* kill Rory!

it reminds me of South Park

If you read a previous post you'd understand that was more or less the idea.

Is next week's episode the promised 'mid-series cliffhanger'?

If it is, I do hope that it's better than last night's story, which I found to be quite slow.

The Mid Series Finale is the one after next week

Tsk.

Get your terminology correct.

'Mid-season finale'.

Yes, I know that makes no sense.

Looks like the end of last Saturday's episode did contain the cliffhanger, or at least the start of it.

Yes, indeed. It was an excellent ending to an otherwise lacklustre two-part episode.

SPOILER ALERT

Well, I thought that was a superb episode. I loved how it focused, in a sense, of what 'The Doctor' means to the rest of the Universe, and whilst it seemed like the end of the series, as they'd
saved the universe and were victorious
, it was good for the underlying theme to come out, and for you to see that whilst
they'd thought they'd won, they hadn't.

Also, does this mean that River Song is Amy and Rory's daughter, and the Doctor's wife, too? And, that as Melody (Amy + Rory's daughter) is a Human/Time lord, River Song is too?

Also, the first episode of the next part of the series is to do with Killing Hitler, it would seem. Is the second half going to be entirely related to Amy's daughter being saved, or not. The title of the first episode doesn't suggest saving Amy's daughter. And also, what will Amy and Rory's role be now they're not with the Doctor?

Controversial title for the next episode: Let's Kill Hitler. I don't feel too comfortable with it.

A great twist at the end, which still leaves questions to be answered. I had assumed the line "The only water in the forest is the river" the Tardis told Rory referred to who it did, however I didn't pick up on it's full meaning until it was revealed.

Did anyone else catch the trailer which ran after the episode with the words "Time runs out" and what it appeared to show?

Also on Confidential...
Alex Kingston (River Song) seemed to hint that more than one baby may have used that cot.

Well I thought it was rather obvious what the title means

what is the first thought of someone if given the power of time travel?
"Lets go and stop the nasty things from happening" as in, killing hitler or stopping 9/11 in an attempt to make the world a better place.

and of course things are not that simple. I doubt it's meant in a literal way
