A big Continuity Blunder tonight.
Michelle, Steve & Ryan were chatting in the back room. Liz walked in and asked Michelle to come into the bar as it was busy leaving Steve and Ryan behind. As she entered the bar Alex turned up and she took him through and they chatted in front of the stairs. A couple of scenes later Ryan walked into the Rovers having played some footie and walked in on Michele and Alex. Well how did he get out of the Rovers in the first place, he would have had to bump into Michele and Alex in the first place.

Oh I'm glad I'm not the only who noticed this. Typical Corrie.
And they might as well rename the show Connornation Street. Thank god for Becky and Roy who saved the episode.

I agree completely, and your ideas could work brilliantly. It's time to get inventive. Soaps don't really try anything different these days, but at least Hollyoaks, Emmerdale and EastEnders have moments of innovation. But with Corrie it's just the same old formulaic drivel.

The trouble with Corrie is they never use these doubles to try anything different,
OK, it might not be traditional Corrie but it be great to see them do something other than cliffhanger at 8pm once in a while.
For example, having the 8.30pm episode set before the 7.30pm one, with an event occurring at the end of the 7.30pm episode and then the second explaining the build up to it.
Obvious example but say the first episode ended up with Maria catching Liam and Carla in bed, the second would then go back a few hours and tell the story of how they ended up there, rather than just going straight into the fall out.
Or similarly having the two episodes follow the same story from different angles - obvious example again but perhaps something around Violet and Sean, with one episode looking at their situation from his point of view, the next from his.
I know it's not traditional Corrie, but really neither is double episodes twice a week.

Ryan could have gone out of the back door before Alex came through into the back

How would Liz have known he was supposed to be playing football then? She said it as though he had informed her prior to him leaving.

I noticed that continuity error too. Perhaps when it was originally written, Ryan left the room and announced he was going to play football in the traffic on the cobbles. Subsequent re-writes failed to spot the mistake.
However, I am getting bored with the Alex/Ryan storyline. If they wanted to replace the actor then simply send him to Ireland for 3 months and "hey presto", he comes back with a new head that nobody notices.
That's more believable than this plot. Why the secrecy? If it was a hospital error then why not tell the whole family? Surely you would want the support of your family at a time like that. Nobody has even mentioned the £100,000s they can sue the NHS for yet. I'd have been straight round to the Solicitor

I doubt it matters somehow and I don't think you're going to stop people watching Corrie for the sake of your beloved Neighbours.

"Does he live here or not?"
For crying out loud, how long are they going to drag this storyline out for.
