Ive just read this threads first page...the comments about Bradley Walsh...do we still agree?
From almost three years ago, a couple of the comments about Bradley Walsh joining the cast of Corrie:
The idea of Bradley Walsh in Corrie sounds pretty awful to be honest . . .
Oh no, please not Bradley Walsh! He's one of those people who just seems to be inexplicably famous.

Oh great, Becky's enough for me. Do we really need / want "shocking" trouble making families? As the following post said, "straight out of Walford".
What's going to happen to Michael Starke's character in The Royal then? He hadn't been written out of the last series of it, so I presume another series must be about to air soon?

"Michael Starke who played Brookside’s window cleaner Sinbad is set to join Corrie, says The Daily Star on Sunday. The paper says that Michael will play the head of an evil new family, joining the soap early in 2007. He brings five wild kids and a grumpy grandad with him. A Corrie insider told the paper that the new family move into Tracy and Charlie’s old house and will be the worst-ever family to set foot on the cobbles. "Let’s just say Corrie fans won’t have seen anything like it. This family will be absolutely awful and a huge shock to everyone on the Street. The kids will be the type who are always causing trouble and arguing. Mickey’s character is their single dad - but he’ll be just as much trouble as his unruly kids."

A large slice of humble pie over here please.
Yes, I've been proved wrong. He was very good, and I'm sorry to see him go.

Another good episode tonight - It was nice to have a break from the Jamie and Frankie storylines.
I found this clip on You Tube - Audrey'/Sue Nicholls first few scenes from 1979 with the brilliant Pat Phoenix. Audrey still chasing the fella's all these years later!

I need to eat some humble pie too - my opinion of Bradley Walsh has completely changed. I think he's been great and am sorry to see him go. The other Baldwins cant leave fast enough though, I'm sick of them.
What happened to Adam? Not that I atually want to see his weak acting , dreadful hair and miserable face on my screen!

It's quite intriguing how comics can make the best actors (Roy Hudd is always good as Archie IMHO), perhaps their incisive minds are good at portraying the emotions
I think even Adam sneering face and Cousin It hair, is more preferable to Vuuuurnon's appearances

I didn't realise that he'd had other serious acting jobs before being in Corrie. There was a clip of him on BBC Three's Forty Years Of F**k in some gritty drama calling someone a c**t. Looking at IMDB, he's had acting roles going back to 1999.

Festive writers:
Sun 17th - David Lane
Mon 18th 7.30 - Stephen Bennett
Mon 18th 8.30 - Pamela Smallacombe
Wed 20th - Chris Fewtrell
Fri 22nd - Simon Crowther
Never heard of Monday 8.30's or Fridays. If anyone has Radio Times for week beginning Sunday 10th December maybe you could post them. The double issue is reportedly due 12th December nationwide, but London'll probably get it early. And spoilers:
Sun 17th: Cilla has bad news for Les. Frankie's worries grow.
Mon 18th (1) - Frankie is asked to identify a body, as Danny's mum Viv arrives in Weatherfield. Meanwhile, David is given a second hand car.
Mon 18th (2) - Danny's mum Viv makes an accusation against Jamie and Frankie when she discovers they are having a relationship. Cilla continues to deceive her family.
Weds 20th - Frankie and Jamie's relationship takes a knock when she asks him where he was the night Danny disappeared. Meanwhile, Steve goes all-out to impress Michelle.
Fri 22nd - After a comedy of errors, Steve's date with Michelle looks set for disaster, while Frankie and Jamie resolve to make a fresh start in Spain. Bev is reconciled with Ashley and Claire as they gather by the River Tame to scatter Fred's ashes.

We have the story of Les converting the loft for a bedroom for Chesney. Do I take it that this is when they see Ivy's papers/diaries about Gail wanting to get rid of David when she was pregnant. What I would like to know is what has happened to the roof spaces. A few years ago when Leanne and Nicky were in bed together Ken Barlow crawled along the loft from above his house and fell through the ceiling onto Leanne and Nicky. So where have the walls and belonging come from?
