I also think Total TV Guide is quite good. I wonder, as we approach digital switchover, will any magazine focus on Freeview channels only, and have full detailed listings (rather than squashing them up) for all Freeview channels?

Whereas in the past we had different regional versions, maybe in the future they could do Freeview and all channels versions?

That would make sense - I'd still like to know what I'm (not) missing out on, but having a Freeview version which gives priority to Freeview channels and then less space to things like Sky Movies would make sense - and similarly for Sky to give more space to channels like UKTV, Discovery etc.

Most of the tv guides these days say they are "freeview friendly" lol

Just thinking - weren't BBC3 supposed to be doing a live nativity at Christmas, in Liverpool I think, following on from the crucifixion earlier in the year.

Can't see anything in the schedules!

This is an interesting read, it looks at what makes up the traditional Christmas Day schedulehttp://www.offthetelly.co.uk/features/christmas/logs/epilogue.htm
Strangely this year there is no lunchtime classic comedy (where Doctor Who Confidential fits in in the plan I don't know) and no late night comedy After they were famous style, instead BBC1 are going straight into the 'late film' at the early time of 11.10pm

Notice that once again all the trailers for Harry Potter on ITV1 are featuring those lines of copyright text which have never ever appeared for any other movie, ever!

Yes I noticed that myself, wonder why it's only with Harry Potter...

And what's with the slide at the end of the promo?

I've wondered what that slide is all about as well. It's only ever used for Harry Potter promos Confused

It's presumably because the Harry Potter 'brand' will not allow any sponsorship anywhere near its own footage

ITV programme sponsorship includes featuring the sponsors logo on the promos, so the only way to get round it is having a seperate slide at the end
